Balance out your hormones with Maca Powder

Have you heard about the new kid on the street? Mrs Maca Powder?

She will help you and your hormones be in a slightly more balanced place, emotional, physically, and hormonally! The great thing is that you can use Maca to achieve all these wonderful results by taking her as a supplement, but you can also empty your supplement into your smoothie or breakfast bowl:

This BREAKFAST BOWL & SMOOTHIE recipe will help you get some Mrs Maca in your life. This is a great way to start the day especially if you are bored with the stable oat and is sure to keep you charged until lunch!

What you will need:

  • 6 oz  uncooked quinoa flakes
  • 6 oz milk/ water mix
  • 6 oz water
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 supplements of  maca root
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup, or to taste
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ cup raisins or dried cranberries, optional
  • Fresh fruit as desired (bananas, strawberries, kiwi, mango, blueberries)

What to do:

  1. Mix the quinoa with the milk and water in a small saucepan.
  2. Bring to a slow boil, then turn down the heat and simmer gently until the liquid is absorbed, but keep an eye on this roughly 15 minutes.
  3. Remove from the heat, then stir in the maca, syrup, cinnamon, and optional dried fruit.
  4. Divide between 3 to 4 serving bowls, and top with sliced fresh fruit as desired.
  5. Serve warm.

BREAKFAST SMOOTHIE: 

In a blender: 

  1. Poor 250 ml of coconut water/ coconut milk
  2. 1 dessert spoon of nut butter
  3. Two handfuls of frozen berries
  4. 1 scoop of your personalised protein
  5. 1 tsp of raw cacao
  6. 2 emptied maca powder tablets

Top Tip: Don’t overmake the smoothie as the fruits oxidize very quickly and won’t provide the most optimal nutrition
