Oxtail Broth

There is no better healing remedy than a pot of broth and there is no better time to be making broth for your health.

Broth can be made from any type of bones and my particular favourite is Ox Tail. The way the succulent meat falls of the bone is like a slow cooked Moroccan lamb shank; divine!

Let’s make broth!

I used to recommend Gelatine for clients who didn’t have the time but there is simply no excuse!

What you will need:

  • 2.5 kg Oxtail
  • 2 leeks
  • 4 carrots
  • Thyme, rosemary, bay leaves
  • a thumb knob of horseradish
  • 1/2 garlic bulb
  • 1 big onion
  • Dollop of olive oil

What to do:

  1. Fill to the top with cold water and broth away for 24 hours
  2. Pimp with some crusty bread, rice noodles baked potatoes, a bowl of rice or Dahl!
  3. Eat away from all electronics and eat slowly!
